After Hours uses optional Google Analytics through Firebase to understand readership. You can allow or decline it, and change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer.
What analytics measures
After you allow analytics, we send page titles, canonical page paths and the previous page address without query strings or fragments. Google Analytics also processes browser, device, approximate geographic and session information. Google processes IP addresses to derive approximate location. Its data handling varies by region; see the linked Google privacy information.
We do not send typed searches, email addresses, account identifiers or private messages. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. Your choice is stored in this browser, and analytics cookies are limited to this hostname.
Changing your choice
Declining prevents analytics initialization. Withdrawing permission stops collection and removes this site's analytics cookies. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are treated as a decline. Blocking analytics never blocks the articles or photo archive.
Other services
Film trailers load from YouTube only after you choose to play them. External source links open the original publisher's site, which has its own privacy policy. Hosting and security services may process operational request logs needed to deliver the site.
