A career beyond one genre

More than
a scream queen.

Mia Goth's screen career moves from independent drama to Gothic horror, dark science fiction and period comedy. Her feature-film debut was Nymphomaniac: Vol. II (2013), before the X trilogy made Maxine and Pearl central characters in her filmography.

Her early films include the survival thriller The Survivalist and Gore Verbinski's A Cure for Wellness. In Autumn de Wilde's Emma., Goth plays Harriet Smith, a markedly different setting from the isolated farms and unsettling institutions of her horror work.

Goth stars in Ti West's X, Pearl and MaXXXine. She also shares the screenplay credit for Pearl with West. In Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, released in 2025 and now streaming on Netflix, she plays Elizabeth Lavenza and Claire Frankenstein.

Lucasfilm has confirmed Goth in the cast of Star Wars: Starfighter, scheduled for May 28, 2027. Her character has not been identified in the official sources checked for this page.
